When the DA goes to the city’s Hoovervilles to pinpoint the most obvious of suspects, Perry, Della, and Paul find themselves at the center of a case that will uncover far-reaching conspiracies and force them to reckon with what it truly means to be guilty....

It’s a common right-wing talking point regarding social media platforms’ restrictions on bigotry, violent content, and conspiracy theories, and it’s a lie that “Q: Into the Storm” does distressingly little to push back against. The documentary, which is directed by Cullen Hoback and executive produced by Adam McKay (“Succession”), is billed as an investigation into the identity of the person(s) behind QAnon and its impact on American culture and politics but boasts a needlessly conspiratorial framing and offers little in the way of new information despite its six-hour runtime....

It’s certainly an adjustment for the teens, but what makes it equally an adjustment for the audience is the setting’s stark contrast to the Smallville we’ve come to know on screen....

Lindsay-Hogg’s footage, severely edited down and focusing mostly on the rooftop concert that the band performed for a private audience in 1969 at their Apple Studios’ London headquarters, did become the 1970 film “Let It Be.” But the footage Jackson is focusing on is the behind the scenes material of John, Paul, George, and Ringo just being themselves and interacting while they’re assembling the album. Restored in such a pristine way, the footage now looks like it was shot yesterday rather than nearly 53 years ago and, much like Todd Douglas Miller’s “Apollo 11” documentary, appears to serve as a time machine to the past as much as anything....

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Patrick Gallo, who plays Mario Puzo on the Paramount+ show, opened up about the way his different relationships with the book and the film influenced his performance. “I didn’t read the book until many years after seeing the film, which I think is probably true for a lot of people,” Gallo said. “But I always loved the film. I probably watch it twice a year....

Part of that underestimation may come from the industry’s default-defeatist attitude toward films that target an older female audience. With source material from a massive bestseller, “Crawdads” also had built-in interest beyond most adult-oriented dramas — even with the film’s mixed-to-negative reviews. It currently stands at 44 on Metacritic. If “Crawdads” can sustain a decent multiple‚ as its A- Cinemascore suggests, the film could yield one of the year’s most net-positive results....

Where to Watch ‘Utopia’: Prime Video (The series originally aired in the UK on Channel 4.) Even if you haven’t seen the most popular show on Netflix this week, you’re probably familiar with its, um, visual representation. While some criticism of the show is earned, accounts of its oversaturation can get a little exaggerated. Still, that response to “Ozark” is rooted in the truth that big-ticket series and blockbusters are, on the whole, dulling....

The most high-profile of these series is HBO’s “Westworld,” which was canceled this fall after falling ratings in Season 4. Other shows getting taken off include Victorian England sci-fi show “The Nevers” and rom-com anthology series “Love Life.” In a similar vein to the Lionsgate series “Minx,” the pulling of these shows effectively doubles as their cancellation announcement. According to sources, other less-high profile titles will be announced to leave the service in the next few days....

“I have my reasons for making it ambiguous, and I think it’s not clear what her point of view [is] on everything that just happened,” Jenkins said. “I love that we wrap up Max Lord’s point of view, and that you see the culmination of that storyline, I think is so important. But the truth is there may or may not be more to come [for Barbara].” While Jenkins will not confirm whether or not Barbara will return in another “Wonder Woman” movie, it’s quite clear the writer-director intentionally left the door open for Wiig to come back and complete Barbara/Cheetah’s arc....
