St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are likely to look a lot different this year. Even with loosened restrictions on movie theaters, indoor dining, and other places frequented before the pandemic, bars have yet to return to their full glory, and if you’re the type to stay home, a movie marathon is a low-key way to spend the holiday. If you’re not interested in bundling services, Disney+ offers subscriptions at $7.99 a month, or $79.99 a year (starting March 26). A Hulu subscription will run you $5.99 a month with ads, or $13.99 without ads (Hulu has yearly subscriptions as well, starting at $59.99 a year). Another good option is HBO Max, which costs $14.99 a month after a 14-day free trial. The subscription lets you stream tons of shows and movies, plus original content, and every Warner Bros. film scheduled for release this year.

Because St. Patrick’s Day is just as good a day as any to check out a few fun films, we’ve rounded up some of the best movies to stream. But don’t worry, they’re not all drenched in the holiday theme. Whether you’re spending the day alone, or getting together with a small group, the films on this list will make you laugh and maybe even cry, while clutching a bottle of Guinness beer. From comedies to crime thrillers, to dramas that will pull at your heartstrings, see below for our list of films to stream on St. Patrick’s Day.

“Waking Ned Devine”

“Leap Year”

“Wild Mountain Thyme”

“The Departed”
