A new report from Variety confirms it was Hans Zimmer himself who was behind the reworking of “Eclipse” for the “Dune” trailer. The Oscar-winner has spent a majority of quarantine finishing the original score for “Dune,” and he took a break from the main score to oversee the recording of the Pink Floyd cover. Working with a 32-voice Los Angeles choir, Zimmer held eight sessions with four vocalists at a time in order to maintain social distancing measures....

The two Oscars for “Ma Rainey’s” were expected for the bold and gritty verisimilitude demanded by Davis and supplied by 89-year-old costume designer Ann Roth (a two-time winner), makeup stylist Sergio Lopez Rivera, and hair stylists Mia Neal and Jamika Wilson (who made Oscar history as the first Black female winners from their category). Christopher Moltisanti haunts Alan Taylor’s “The Many Saints of Newark,” and not just in name (you don’t need to be too familiar with Italian to realize that “Many Saints” translates to “Moltisanti”) but in actual spirit. The film literally opens in a New Jersey graveyard, one filled with headstones boasting the names of families familiar to any seasoned “Sopranos” watcher, before settling on a discomfitingly familiar face, forever imposed on his own gravestone: Christopher Moltisanti, AKA Chrissy, the son of Dickie Moltisanti, who serves as the film’s leading man (as played by franchise newbie Alessandro Nivola)....

Trump repeatedly praised the rioters on his social media accounts, which caused Twitter and other social media companies to ban the president from their platforms....

After the final installment of Craig’s turn as Bond, the Faroe Islands commissioned a custom grave to honor the filming location of “No Time to Die.” The island of Kalsoy served as the villain’s lair for Bond’s nemesis Lyutsifer Safin (Rami Malek), who ultimately kills the famed MI6 agent. The grave is positioned near the Kallur lighthouse on the island and reads, “In Memory of James Bond, 1962–2021,” as reported by the official Guide to the Faroe Islands page....

Ryan and Sudeikis’ paths crossed in 2017 while the actor was on a press tour for his indie drama “Kodachrome.” Ryan had lost his father that year due to a heart attack. Sudeikis stars in “Kodachrome” as a record company representative trying to make amends with his dying father (Ed Harris), who happens to be a photographer. The father leaves behind four rolls of Kodachrome that Sudeikis’ character is left to find meaning in....

A first look at “John Wick Chapter 4” shows Keanu Reeves as Wick standing in front of what appears to be a candlelit altar. The neon-tinted press image was circulated via text message by Lionsgate to fans who signed up for updates on the fourth film, set to be released in theaters March 24, 2023. “John Wick Chapter 4” also stars Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, Bill Skarsgard, Clancy Brown, Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins, and Rina Sawayama....

Following over a decade of discussions around the English-language adaptation of his 1989 classic film, Woo confirmed that he will helm a reimagining for Peacock in collaboration with Universal Pictures. “The Killer” is about a seasoned assassin who takes on one last job, during which he accidentally blinds a nightclub singer. In order to pay for an operation to fix her sight, the killer for hire agrees to assassinate a high-ranking triad boss, just as the police are tracking him down....

A “WandaVision” spinoff centered on Kathryn Hahn as the powerful witch is reported to be in development at Disney+ from Marvel Studios. Variety first reported the news of a spinoff series. IndieWire has reached out to Disney representatives for comment. Hahn will reprise the role of Agatha Harkness in the series, which has been described as a dark comedy a la “WandaVision,” the limited series that won three Primetime Emmys and became one of the biggest Disney+ hits ever....
