“Jungle Cruise,” the new adventure movie based off the Disney Parks ride starring Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson, sailed into movie theaters on Friday. For those who want to watch from home, you can order the movie on Disney+ Premier Access and stream it from multiple devices. Not familiar with Premier Access? It’s a bit different than Disney+ in that you pay $29.99 for new releases the same day that they hit theaters. The cost is in addition to the $7.99 monthly subscription fee (unless you’ve already signed up for a free Disney+ subscription for up to six months). Disney+ Premier Access can be a little confusing if you’re new to the interface, but it’s pretty user friendly once you get the hang of it. Simply log-in to Disney+, locate “Jungle Cruise” either on the main page or through the search box, and choose the Premier Access option.
Jaume Collet-Serra’s “Jungle Cruise” centers around British explorers in search of the Tree of Life who hop on a river boat heading into a supernatural animal-filled jungle. Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons, Paul Giamatti, Edgar Ramirez, and Andy Nyman are also in the cast.

Even though you’re paying an extra fee to watch new movies, you can stream them as many times as you’d like from multiple devices including your TV, smartphone, notebook, or gaming consoles such as PS5 and XBox. There’s also GroupWatch on Disney+ so that you can host (or attend) a virtual movie night with up to six people. Each user has to have their own account to join in on the fun, but you can pause, rewind, and react together.
Disney+ features an endless trove of entertainment that includes epic movies, beloved TV series, and Disney+ originals such as “The Mandalorian,” “Loki,” “Monsters at Work,” “Turner & Hooch,” and “Chip ‘n’ Dale: Park Life.”
Audiences can learn the stories behind the most beloved Disney Park rides in “Behind the Attraction,” a 10-part original series executive produced by Johnson, and Danny Garcia through their Seven Bucks Productions imprint. “Behind the Attraction,” which is directed by Brian Volk-Weiss premiered on Disney+ on July 16, and gives viewers an exclusive peek at legendary rides from “Jungle Cruise” to “Haunted Mansion” to “Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge,” learn the unique story behind each Castle at the park and find out how Disney Imagineers designed and built them. The series includes rare interviews with Walt Disney, while each episodes features exclusive interviews with Disney icons, and old and new Imagineers such as Bob Weis, Jeanette Lomboy, Kim Irvine, Scott Trowbridge, Scott Drake, Tom Fitzgerald, Carmen Smith, and Joe Rohde, divulging insider secrets of the parks and how iconic Disney attractions were brought to life.
